There has been a romance scammer that contacts me once in a while. I don't know for sure, if she is actually a love scammer. She does try to spark things once in a while. She has the following flags:
She is mid 30's, I am mid 50's a huge age gap.
Lives in a poor country
She contacted me recently and demanded an explanation as to why I have not made an effort to go see her, or buy a plane ticket for her to see me?
So if I go to see her, is she going to show up at the hotel with a bunch of buddies and rob me? Why would I take the chance with an unknown?
There are several things that can go wrong if I pay for the ticket. She might ask for my credit card number, or money to buy the ticket. Then take the credit card info, or money then make excuses to not come.
The next question that I have, is how many men does she have on the go, trying to extract money and gifts out of them. She has indirectly asked me for gifts, but was disappointed every time when I said no.
I often ask why and unemployed (by choice) beautiful woman who is 15+ years younger than me would have any interest in a middle aged man in a different country.. If she is really serious about a relationship with me, she can always get a job, and save up the money to come see me. She lives in a city whose economy is mostly tourism. She has a lot of options if she was seriously looking for a partner.
